Bali Golf and Country Club

Bali Golf and Country Club is the 18 hole par 72 golf course designed by renowned landscapers Rodney Wright and Robin Nelson, set amidst tropical palms and coconuts groves in 100 hectares of lands and is located on the southern tip of the luxurious resort area of Nusa Dua, which is conveniently close to several 5 star hotels.

Bali Golf and Country Club, provides golf enthusiasts with a world class championship 18-hole golf course in a spectacular seaside setting. Opened in 1991 and in 1994 was chosen to host the prestigious golf tournament "Alfred Dunhill Masters Tournament". In 1997 Bali Golf and Country Club, voted "One of Asia`s 5 Best Golf Courses" (Fortune Magazine-USA). A truly unique and fantastic setting environments of golf course in Bali. Golfers will experience three distinct setting environments throughout the 18-hole course.

The first setting for holes 1 through 9 play inland and uphill through dense tropical vegetation and provide the player with magnificent views of Nusa Dua below, the Indian Ocean, and on a clear day you will see from the distant of Mount Agung as backdrop. The setting of holes 1 through 9 features creeks, canyons, and native vegetation filled with tropical birds. The golf course architect teams incorporated small hand-built stone walls to terrace the sides of fairways and tees in order to emulate the rice fields terraces of the Bali countryside.

In the second setting for holes 10 through 16 present the golfer with lush gently sculptured fairways through a mature coconut grove. The coconut palms, some as tall as 100 feet, provide vertical definition to the golf course.

And the third distinct setting of holes 17 and 18 the golfer experiences a beautiful seaside setting. The 17th hole plays out to the beautiful blue Indian Ocean and usually into a cool ocean breeze. The 18th hole plays from the beach back to the clubhouse along side a 16-acre lake. In all, the varied natural setting of Bali Golf and Country Club provides Bali guests with a truly unique and memorable golfing experience.

HOLE 1 (Crown 554, Lion 516, Frog 432)-Par 5
The fairway is very wide for the opening shot. For the long hitter, the tree comes into play and must be negotiated. Keep the second shot to the right. The green is split level so be accurate with approach.

HOLE 2 (Crown 362, Lion 334, Frog 211)-Par 4
Sharp dogleg right, You’ll run out of fairway unless your tee shot is a fade or hit over the right side bunkers. Lots of trouble to the right of trees. A three wood is probably the right choice on the tee.

HOLE 3 (Crown 405, Lion 387, Frog 350)-Par 4
A narrow fairway that gets tighter the longer the tee shot. Keep the ball left on the drive. Lots of room if you miss the green, but watch out for the crevice short right.

HOLE 4 (Crown 153, Lion 135, Frog 121)-Par 3
Length of this hole is deceiving. Take out an extra club if you’re undecided. Avoid the Balinese walls to the right at all cost.

HOLE 5 (Crown 417, Lion 393, Frog 324)- Par 4
Hit it long and hit it straight. Tee shot must be at least to the crest of the hill to have a view of the green which is down at the bottom of the draw. Careful on the second shot that you keep your head down.

HOLE 6 (Crown 175, Lion 146, Frog 106)-Par 3
Club selection is all important here..don’t let the view distract you. Any shots hit right are dead.....bailout is all left. Golfers hitting to the wrong side of this green are in for a surprise.

HOLE 7 (Crown 580, Lion 544, Frog 480)-Par 5
Length is important. Fairway funnels most shots to the middle, so let it rip. Second shot should be kept left, otherwise the approach is an extreme challenge. Right side of green falls away at rear, so bear that in mind if approaching from the right.

HOLE 8 (Crown 409, Lion 400, Frog 259)-Par 4
The most challenging hole on the front nine. Length off the tee is important because the green is 3 tiered and, again, tends to fall away. Consider a bump and run from the right front of the green instead of going for the pin with a middle to long iron.

HOLE 9 (Crown 394, Lion 362, Frog 334)-Par 4
Deceptive hole which looks a lot harder than it really is. Only the extreme long hitter can reach the water off the tee. Ideal tee shot is to the left of the fairway. Club selection and execution is paramount for the green approach. Land it softly, as the green is surrounded by water.

HOLE 10 (Crown 392, Lion 369, Frog 284)-Par 4
The safe shot is to the middle of the fairway, but that leaves a tough approach over a deep bunker. If possible, keep the tee shot to the right and even carry the right side bunker for an easier approach.

HOLE 11 (Crown 492, Lion 476, Frog 439)-Par 5
Designed to be an opportunity hole, the green is reachable in two with a decent drive down the middle. Don’t go right with the second shot as the lake will pull you toward it. Don’t go too far left or third shot can be tricky coming back toward the lake. Green is deep but has definite birdie potential.

HOLE 12 (Crown 182, Lion 136, Frog 85)-Par 3
Gauge the distance and hit boldly. Balls hit over the green will produce some difficult recovery shots.

HOLE 13(Crown 523, Lion 501, Frog 411)-Par 5
A “safe” shot to the right of the fairway will result in a blind second shot. The bunker on the left can be carried with a huge tee shot, but the penalty is serve for being short. Approach the green from any angle you choose, but be careful of the right side...a big surprise awaits you there.

HOLE 14 (Crown 410, Lion 390, Frog 328)-Par 4
Tee shot must be down the middle. Green is nestled down in a low valley and shots tend to carry on this hole.

HOLE 15 (Crown 199, Lion 180, Frog 121)-Par 3
Length is deceiving here. Green is farther away than it looks. Very important to be on the correct level of the green if you want any chance to two-putt.

HOLE 16 (Crown 458, Lion 443, Frog 350)-Par 4
Designed to be the toughest on the course. A slight draw is necessary to cut the dogleg on this monster hole. If you don’t think you can reach the green in two, we strongly advise you to lay up left. (You have been officially forewarned).

HOLE 17 (Crown 361, Lion 340, Frog 269)-Par 4
If the breeze is in your face, this medium length par four can be a real terror. Fairway is wide; but looks narrow, with trouble on both sides. Club selection and type of shot into the green will be the challenge here. Wind will hold up any shot hit high.

HOLE 18 (Crown 405, Lion 385, Frog 304)-Par 4
Don’t let water intimidate you. (Or the sand to the left). Flirt with the lake for a more open shot to the green. The green is accommodating except for that one doggone bunker which will catch any shots hit short. And don’t forget the water to the right and behind the green.

THE BUNKER-This casual café is situated at the ground level of the clubhouse and is open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The menu features fresh juices, energetic drinks and light meals.
BARONG RESTAURANT-An elegant open-air dining room located at the second level of the clubhouse overlooking the Indian ocean & golf course. The menu features salads and entrees, local and international favorites, snacks and desserts accompanied by fine wines. Open from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Rain Check Policy
Should the management of Bali Golf and Country Club close the course due to weather conditions, after you play has commenced, a rain check voucher will be issued as follows:

If players have not completed play on 4 holes an 18 hole rain check voucher will be issued.
If players have completed play on 5 holes but not more than 12 holes a 9 hole rain check will be issued.
If after commencing play, players elect to stop playing because of weather conditions and the course has not been closed by management, no ran check voucher will be issued.

- Tanah Lot, Ubud are will be charged at USD 40/person for minimum of 2 persons and if one person only will be charged at USD 60.

Rate is not valid during period peak season from 20 December 2009 to 10 January 2010.
50% deposit is required and should be settled 1 month in advance. If the booking is made within 1 month from the check-in date, 50% deposit should be settled immediately for guarantee the booking confirmation.
